Who is a Temporary Activities Sponsor?
A Temporary Activities Sponsor is an Australian organization lawfully established and operating in Australia such as a company, body corporate, partnership, non-profit organization or an unincorporated body.
The temporary activities sponsor can also be:
- 
	an Australian Commonwealth, state or territory government agency 
- 
	a foreign government agency lawfully operating in Australia, such as a consular or other foreign national government entity 
- 
	an international organisation recognised by Australia and lawfully operating in Australia, such as the United Nations 
- 
	an organisation that operates a superyacht, or the owner or captain of a superyacht 
- 
	a sporting organisation lawfully operating in Australia 
- 
	a religious institution lawfully operating in Australia 
The organisation should also be to meet the sponsorship obligations which is actively engaged with a good business record.
What is a Program of Occupational Training?
There are three occupational training types for the SC 407 visa for which you will qualify depending on the kind of training you are looking for.
- 
	Occupational training required for registration - This scheme is specific to trainees who are seeking to obtain occupational registration, membership, or licensing in Australia. 
- 
	Occupational training to improve skills in an eligible occupation - This is particularly for individuals who have an occupation in the skilled occupation list. 
- 
	Occupational training for capacity building overseas - - 
		Overseas qualification- Structured workplace training for up to six months in Australia. 
- 
		Government support-Structured occupational training in the workplace that has the support of Australian government body or an overseas government. 
- 
		Professional development- Programs of face-to-face teaching. It is for overseas employers to send their managerial or professional employees.

What is a valid substantive visa?
A substantive visa is any visa that allows the visa holder to remain temporarily in Australia other than:
- 
	a bridging visa 
- 
	a criminal justice or enforcement visa 
For the SC 407 your substantive visa should NOT be:
- 
	a Subclass 403 (Temporary Work (International Relations) visa in the Domestic Worker (Diplomatic or Consular stream) or 
- 
	a Subclass 771 (Transit) visa or 
- 
	a Special Purpose visa 
However if you don't have a substantive visa your last visa shouldn’t have been any of the above substantive visa
Who is a Genuine Temporary Entrant?
A Genuine Temporary Entrant is an individual who intends to stay in Australia temporarily.
You will have to showcase to the Department that you are a Genuine Temporary Entrant in your visa application.
You can display this by showcasing strong ties to your home country, such as family, employment, or property ownership, which can be important in demonstrating your desire to go back. Providing a detailed explanation of your expected activities in Australia and how they correspond with your career or educational goals will assist in establishing your genuine intents for temporary entry.
