482 Visa requirements
If you meet the following requirements, then you may be eligible for the 482 visa:

Have an occupation in the relevant skilled occupation list

Have a substantive or a bridging visa if you are already in Australia

Be nominated by an approved sponsor

Currently work in your nominated occupation

Have at least 2 years of work experience in the nominated occupation or in a related field

Eligibility Assessment

This is an application made by the sponsor to become an approved sponsor. Nomination Application
This is an application made to nominate the employee to the relevant position in the business. This application requires certain reports to be submitted along with the nomination application. Visa application

Core Skills stream
- Occupation must be in Core Skills Occupation List (CSOL)
- Be paid a salary at or above the Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold (TSMIT), which is at AUD 73,150
- Trades workers, machinery operators and drivers, and laborers will be eligible provided these occupations are present in the Core Skills Occupation List.
Specialist Skills stream
- Occupation must be in the general skilled occupation list.
- Be paid a salary at or above the Specialist Skills Income Threshold (SSIT), which is at AUD 135,000.
- Trades workers, machinery operators and drivers, and laborers will NOT be eligible, even if it is present in the general skilled occupation list.

Pathway to Permanent Residency: Qualified applicants have the opportunity to transition to permanent residency after approximately three years, enabling them to enjoy long-term stability and security in Australia, especially for regional visas.
Payment of Australian Market Salary Rate: Employees will be paid at Australian Market Salary Rate with no distinction of that of an Australian employee.
