Temporary Activity Visa (SC 408)- Religious Work
The Religious Work stream of the SC 408 visa, is intended for people engaged in religious work. You can apply for this visa to work as a full-time religious worker for an Australian religious organization. Additionally, the applicant has the option to include their family members in the same visa application. Once the visa is granted, the visa holder can stay up to 2 years on this visa with their eligible family members who are included in the visa application.

Sponsorship
- The sponsor will have to submit certain documents along with the visa application. The sponsor may submit a sponsorship application ID number or sponsorship transaction reference number (TRN) or a sponsor approval letter or receipt for lodging the sponsorship application.
- The sponsor must also certify in writing that they will fulfill their sponsorship duties for the visa applicant and any dependent family members you listed of the visa applicant.
- Provide evidence that the organization's goals and actions support a religious purpose and that the views and practices of its members amount to a religion.
- The sponsor should submit documents to show that they are a religious organisation that is lawfully operating in Australia.
- The sponsor must have been endorsed as a charity by the Australian Tax Office.
