Short Stay Specialist visa (SC 400)
This temporary visa allows you to work in Australia on a short-term basis. This visa is for Applicant who have specialized skills, expertise, or experience that is not widely available in Australia.
To apply for this visa, you must be outside of Australia. This visa is usually not available for ongoing work beyond 3 months. The maximum stay the department may allow is 6 months and it would have to be evidenced with a strong business case to the department.

Highly specialized work is typically performed by people who can nominate an occupation from ANZSCO Major Groups 1, 2, or 3 and incorporates unique skills and expertise.
